Type of Paint to Refinish the Black Plastic Under Bumber Area

I am a professional painter (not auto painter but the spray technique is the same) and I have a HVLP spray gun (high volume low pressure, its whats used to spray cars)
My question is I would like to refinish the black plastic under the rear bumber where the exhaust pipes come out. Does anyone know of a name or a type of paint/finish that would work well to refinish that area? I might also do the black plastic area where the wiper blades are, the area between the hood and the windshield if the bumber area ends up coming out nice.

I know that as long as I get the right paint that it will come out perfect. I hate to toot my own horn here, I seriously do but Im a very good painter

any ideas?

wrong section.

This is for step by step guides.

to answer your question.. peanut butter + buffing off will return the plastic to its original color.

mods, please move this.

my bad Im new and still trying to figure out what goes where.
thanks for the info but wont it just go back to being dull again after that wears off? I want something that I can do and not have to worry about for at least a couple years.

what forum does this thread belong in?

You could try reading the stickies in each sub-forum...

To assist you with your question- there is no miracle product that will keep it black/dark forever. Painting it would be your best option

painting is what I want to do I just wanted to see if anyone knew of a good type of paint to use. Im a proffessional painter but my paint knowledge isnt in the auto world so Id imagine theres a type of auto paint that would work best for that type of application and was hoping someone knew a name or something for it

thanks again

i just plasti dipped mine last night and it turned out real good. The first is before and second after obviously.

well that's my opinion and if you don't like it it peels right off.

Wont the plastidip melt around the exhaust shrouds? If not I may do this to mine as well.

Any old automotive paint will work, search for a body shop supplier in your area. With proper prep which i assume you know about. It will be fine. We paint stuff like that at my work all the time. Take your time prepping, and it will come out great.

The best I have found and works great is Forever Black. You can pick it up at speed shops and on line.

There is a thread that talks about various ways of finishing.
But for me the Forever Black is the bomb.

I feel generous today. Here you go
