Tail light question...
I have honestly tried searching in hopes of avoiding a new thread of something that has been talked about many times before. I have had no luck in finding a way, if possible, to change the running lights on the outer edges of the tail lights. I'm assuming they are LEDs. Am I out of luck on fixing this and needing to buy a whole new tail light? My OCD will not allow me to leave it alone. My driver side is out, passenger side works. Any help is much appreciated.

I presume you have a Series II? Pictures help generate responses, because members can more easily see what you're asking about. The way I read it, the LED's on your tail light aren't firing; is this correct?
If it's ONE or TWO LED's it will be a pain to fix them, because it means replacing individual lights. If ALL of the LED's in a circuit are failing to fire, you probably have one bad contact or a portion of a relay that has failed... Which is an easier fix, even if it costs a little more. Again, a pic or two would help tremendously. |

^ I've owned two S1's and never noticed that:yelrotflm Now I can't wait to get home and look to see if all of mine work. Like I said... Pictures!

Hmmm, not a lot of information on there site.
Suppose the big questions are HID or Halogen Retain auto level feature Doubtful with the price tag attached anyone has seen a pair in person to know. |
Sorry for not clarifying, but I do own a series 1. It is the drivers side tail light, the LEDs on the outer strakes. I can provide pictures later this evening, one I'm off of work. Thanks for the replies. I'll check again to be sure that they are out and that they are plugged in securely.

Either replace for about 200 bucks. Or there is a DIY thread for baking and disassembling the tai lights as you would need to in order to start working on the LED circuit in which case you will also need to be familiar with electrical work and have your soldering skills up to par.
Just bite the bullet and drop the cash. |
Either replace the light or disconnect the plug for the LEDs on the still working side to make it look the same.

Well I came home on my lunch hour and was just taking a look at the lights and found out that the LEDs were actually unplugged. I guess I could have saved time by checking it out. All the info is much appreciated.

$2200 for tail lights is way too much for my wallet. Clear corners.com is way too expensive

Those clear corners lights are sick. Maybe I'll trade in my 8 for the down payment on some...
