Spoiler opinions

1 Attachment(s)
Hi, I have a feeling I will be looking for a spoiler soon and found someone that will trade me trunk lids without a spoiler meaning no holes :) So my options are now limitless, but I am having a hard time choosing. I have narrowed it down to I want it to be carbon fiber, unless it is a lip spoiler, but I am not a huge fan of them. I ask for your opinion if my car is aggressive enough for a low maybe 7 inch carbon wing or a choice of carbon mazdaspeed or r magic. All opinions are going to be considered.

mazdaspeed:

CARBON FIBER JDM GT WING REAR SPOILER FOR 04 10 RX8 MSPEED (Brand new, no MOQ, In stock, Free shipping)-in Special Store from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com

r magic:

AIT Racing Mazda RX-8 AIT Racing RM Style Rear Spoiler - M803HIRMGRW

Megan racing wing

MR-55 Carbon Fiber GT Wing - GT Wings -

Also, I will soon have kei eyelids and the exhaust shrouds that are a bit extended.

exhaust shrouds:

04-07 Mazda RX8 Rear Bumper Lip - Type-S Urethane :: Bumper Lips :: Body Styling :: Exterior :: Dash Z Racing

All of those items are cheap replica crap.

I have a GTO spoiler I'm going to be putting on my car. You can google it as others have done it. The only other spoiler i would consider, besides the obvious Mazdaspeed, is the APR GTC-200 with risers. APR Performance - GTC-200 Adjustable Wing
Its my favorate just a little pricey though.

I have the GTO spoiler on my car. You can look in my picture gallery to see it. I got it off ebay about 7 yrs ago. It took me a couple of years to get the courage to drill the holes in the car to mount it. I measured about 5 times to make sure that everything was lined up and I was still off by about 1/4 inch on one hole. It all works in the end.

I am not too worried about fitment, I am very tedious when it comes to form fitting fiberglass parts. My front bumper was hell but it really turned out great. So I don't mind the cheaper spoiler with a few hours of fitting. But 9k, what to you is a not cheap spoiler then?

I am also considering the GTO spoiler, it looks good.

Well, the spoilers you listed are copies of an original. So if you want proper fitment and construction then get the original and not a cheap copy. But based on your other posts it seems you are more about buying cheaper priced items rather than the best item for the money.

The OEM GTO spoiler is a good option.

The GTO isn't a bad option I love the look of it, and I try to find the balance between quality per dollar. I am still in college and trying to balance out everything. Plus I have heard some positive reviews on the Carbon Creations replica spoiler, but they are hard to find.

Hey!
I remember seeing the picture of your car and then wanting one haha. I got one about a year ago for $40 but it arrived with a crack in it. I've been dragging my feet on fixing it but intend to do so soon.

I got mine on fleebay for $49 and shipping cost me $50.

The only spoiler i like is the MS and the oem, that's it.

rotory04 12-18-2013 05:00 PM

I'd go with the ms, seems lots of guys buying replicas are having large gaps between the wing and the trunk lid in certain places.

Those are all replicas. Basically if you have the opportunity to buy a REAL MS spoiler, pounce on it. But if I absolutely had to pick one of those, I'd pick the MS replica. I hate the scubaru style wings (#2), and #3 style wigs can look pretty tacky and are hard to pull off. It's not impossible to make a replica look really good, but it'll probably be difficult.
