You will officially have the "least busy" rear end of any RX-8. The problem is that everything will look so bulbous. The only angles left will be around your license plate bracket. This could make it look a little like an old Taurus IMO - so think it out before you put a lot of work into making a nice car look bland.

This is what I was looking for. Thank you and that is why I am here. Just wanting to see what you think it might look like. This was just a 5 minute tape job as an idea i am not set on anything yet. oh and i looked an old taurus and I see what you mean. any thoughts on what might look good? I just dont want it to look too busy like some of the aftermarket bumpers out there. I am recently medically retired from the Army so I thought this would be perfect for me to do. Buying a new bumper and just installing would be just to easy and not give me anything do.

I've really been looking at giving my RX-8 the JIC treatment, but with a special touch - paint the black trim to match the paint and buy the best looking muffler I can get ahold of. Maybe CF wrapped? I have a midpipe from a Turbo XS exhaust I haven't installed yet. I think I could have a catalytic conveter welded in and have a shop fab up the rest to my specs. For now, my NG RX-8 looks too OEM to pull off the look, so I'll have to wait for it.

there is no commercially available piece that is why you see all 'custom' solutions above.

JIC Style bumper cutting

plus retrofitting this rear diffuser...

... equals exactly what I want to do with mine.
