Should I paint these black....

Should I paint these wheels black and paint the calipers red?

ZumnRx8 06-05-2009 03:19 PM

NO, just get new wheels, it;d be a waste of your money powdercoating these.

YaXMaNGTO 06-05-2009 03:51 PM

Oh HELL no. "Modding by rattle can" FTL. Do not paint those wheels black.

And leave your calipers alone until youre ready to buy some better wheels.

I think I just agreed with Zumn. I must not be well. :D:

Atilla 06-05-2009 03:53 PM

indeed +1 w/yax and (dare i say it) Zumn...

thebiggdaddy 06-05-2009 04:36 PM

Plus, those look like the automatic stock wheels to me. Definitely not worth it.

ZumnRx8 06-05-2009 05:10 PM

16" wheels does not mean "Automatic"

Atilla 06-05-2009 05:17 PM

actually, yes it does seeing as to how the MT's can't fit those 16's due to their front rotor size.

dcperilli 06-05-2009 10:38 PM

If I were to buy the 18's, would they fit?

dondo 06-05-2009 10:44 PM

yes, check this out

Juansito 06-05-2009 10:47 PM

Why would you paint garbage? Throw those away....

Ross_Dawg 06-05-2009 10:58 PM

ZumnRx8 06-05-2009 11:27 PM

^Harsh it be, but its true what he speaks matey! that fellow speaketh the truth (sorry just finished watching Pirates of Carribean 3) :lol2:

Krazed_Rx8 06-05-2009 11:42 PM

ZumnRx8 06-05-2009 11:50 PM

Yes Way!

TopGear8 06-06-2009 12:00 AM

No, get some new wheels. Don't cheap out and buy cheap wheels also, be prepared to spend at least a grand on a decent set of wheels. If you don't have the money, start saving.

Ross_Dawg 06-06-2009 12:06 AM

^werd. brands like Rota , Konig, etc that are well known (replicas) are pretty good. Stay away from the eBay brands though.

If you have the $$ go for the big dogs like Volk, Rays, Gram Lights, ssr, etc.

I have many auto-x days on my Konigs and they are fine (even though there are people that say they break within the first track day)

TopGear8 06-06-2009 12:38 AM

^I'm not talking so much about the structural integrity of cheaper wheels, I mean I have my first set of ebay wheels last a season of autox, and 15k of daily driving, and they are fine. It's just that when I switched to my RPF1's, I realized how much nicer the RPF1's where then the cheap ebay wheel.

SiLVeRE8 06-06-2009 01:32 AM

buy my volk ce28n's

ZumnRx8 06-06-2009 01:38 AM
