I would have to disagree...

The new tips they offer are further from the shrouds and are slash cut to flow with the shroud. I have no issues with melting or color change

**** this is from 07...

Custom exhaust is the best! Find a good performance shop and have them build one from scratch. W/e size pipeing you wnat, w/e mufflers you want, and w/e tips you want.
And its usually cheaper than buying a system.

THis is what i did, i had a local shop Adrenaline Motorsports build me one and it sounds great! And it dynoed with a 6hp increase. And weighs about half of the stock.

Bump.

Anyone have any thoughts in the last few years about aftermarket exhausts?
New systems, durability, sound, price changes?

Turbo XS is still the best bang for the buck and is a true 3". The Borla is the best sounding and has great quality.

Yeah that is a pretty good price shipped.

But call TH for a discount code, they might do better.

I bought the Borla when first available - in 2004.
No regrets at all, solid, deep sound and impeccable quality.

David Borla is actually a member here, and was quite involved in the development of the exhaust.

There's a code for an additional $45 off.
I've been hearing about Borla, but this is the first time I've taken a close look at it and checked out the specs.
Pretty Impressive.

Santa stole all my money, so I'm window shopping right now.
Definitely at the top of the list right now.

Can get it for about $850, but I'm starting to prefer Racing Beat.
