Which parking lights?
Hi guys. I am going to buy a pair of parking lights soon, but would like some inputs on these.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RX-8-...Q5fAccessories or http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RX-8-...Q5fAccessories Does anyone have any pictures of these installed? I would like to see the difference between the two. I don't want the parking light to be alot brighter than the stock HID's. |
You might take a look at the ones from rx8strakes.com. Rx8trakes is a forum vendor and have some really great products. I have their LED parking lights and love them.

Thanks. I think that Rx8strakes is the same seller as the ebay link I've shown.(it says it on the bottom of the screen). How much was shipping with Rx8strakes? You bought the 6 Led bulb set?

V-LEDS parking lights are a little cheaper, plus there is a 15% discount for rx8club members, plus they use .5 watt LEDs that are BRIGHT! For more info see my thread here:

Thanks for the link Aipex8.
I've read that the parking light can come loose and get stuck in the head light. Does this happen to the Rx8strakes bulbs? I'm close to buying it. |
Anyone?
|
yea i bought by pkg light bulbs from rx8strakes and they are a lil loose when u put em on.....just wrap tape over at the end to hold it tight and u should be fine
|
The bulb disconnect from the connector or is it still attached?
|
The VLEDS bulbs have a very thick base and are not loose in the socket.

Is there a way to install the parking lights without removing the front bumper?
|
You don't remove the bumper for parking lights. You should be able to remove the fuse box cover on the drivers side, and the ECU cover on the passenger side then reach in and you should be able to feel the back of the socket. Twist counter clockwise. There may be a DIY thread with some pics.

Thanks alot Aipex8

nice!!!
|
Aipex8..you bought your fog bulbs from the same seller correct?
|
Yep
|
Just make sure you buy some quality parking lights or else the heat from the HID's will kill them. Happened to two of my super bright ebay sets, learned my lesson, and bought some PIAAs.
|
What is PIAA?
|
Have you been living under a rock or something?
PIAA is a brand, one of the best brands in automotive lighting. |

Looks good man. V-Leds also has some fogs you can buy to match your parking lights and side markers. Just check out Aipex's "WOW these LEDs are freakin bright!!!" thread or whatever its called
Or you could just do an HID conversion or HID projector conversion like I did :wink2: Both options look great |
