Before and after pics, as you can see i didnt paint the ecu cover thats because its busted and needs to be replaced, the main engine cover isnt completly finished yet i still have to add the contrasting colour to the center its going to be a graphite metallic paint.

Is your car green?
|
not at this very moment, the car is silver right now. in a couple months the car will be going under the gun and get a complete respray in the green and graphite colours. its hard to see in the pics but the green has mtallics and pearls in it an itlooks awesome when the sulight hits it. same colour used on 2008 dodge vipers.
|
I guess its cool, kind of a weird color though. Whatever floats your boat.

ive always been kinda different when it comes to cars heres my volvo that i painted and a pic of the green on a viper.
|
Well the viper defiently pulls off the color but it looks a bit diferent than your covers.
|
yea it looks different cus the colour kinda changes with the way the light hits it with the pearls and metallics but its the same colour, i think the 8 could pull the colour off too, its just a matter of time when i can get it in the booth on a weekend to spray it.

did u just sand the original black off the cover and then apply paint? a quick walkthrough would be greatly appreciated cuz id like to do this myself especially cuz my hood can cover it up if it doesnt turn out too well. would be a fun saturday project.

he sanded it so he can scuff up the surface so paint can adhere.

sand primer with higher grit too. it'll finish better.

Green on the RX8? You might be the only person with that color on a RX8...
By the way...are you a Green Bay Packers fan? |
