ODULA Opinions and owners

3 Attachment(s)
Hey guys I've tried searching the forum multiple times. I've seen opinions on Odula and people say their fitment is on the higher end. I'm having trouble finding anyone that actually has it installed though?

I like the Type RS front Bumper, but honestly I'm really starting to like the Type GT Front bumper too. It reminds me of the Amuse front bumper on S2000's which I really like. I know a lot of people don't but I prefer the smooth look of them versus designs that have jutting holes like the Ings front bumper does. Here are some pics of it too since I couldn't find any on the forum.

No matter what your going to have to do some fitting, that's just how it is. As far as my opinion on the look, I do not like it. Makes the front end look heavy and flat, does not flow with the car.

The opinion of an Ings RX8 owner

It also looks like the car's overall resistance goes up - leading to lower mileage or handling problems. Has this been aeroD tested? race track tested?

Yeah I can see how it looks like that. I like the side vents on their Type RS front because they look less heavy so I'm probably going to go that route. I just know I want to stay away from polyurethane because I hate the plasticky look you get with them unless you have a top notch painter. I'd like the mazdaspeed front too, but finding an authentic one seems pretty difficult nowadays.

I'm not sure if it's been aero tested, but I know Odula does compete in Japan so I would assume they've done some type of testing. Although we all know what they say about assumptions lol, so I probably shouldn't.

There are just a lot of very ricey kits out there, and I'd prefer to stay with something clean and stockish looking while increasing the agression level(mazdaspeed, odula type RS) or something that will be more function focused without having all the excess that you see in some of the kits nowadays.

Yeah I saw that one too. The more I look at it the more I think I like it. The only thing I wonder about is if the oil coolers would get enough airflow with how small the side vents look. It would be ideal if they were a little wider, but of course I can't change that.

Maybe the addition of a gurney flap on the outer edges would increase the air flow into the oil coolers enough to make a noticeable difference?
