Your really going to trust what some random people tell you on an rx-8 forum? Do some proper research man.

rotormotormean 04-03-2013 03:46 PM

i have done research this is more of a conformation post im looking at wet sanding it at 400 grit and then moving up cleaning with wax remover and degreaser and moving to 600 grit. just wanted to see if anyone else has done this for tips and advice

400 for primer, nothing less than 2000 on clear, careful of edges and accent lines as you can sand through them fast.

If that is the case then it is always helpful to post what you know or believe is correct and see if anyone agrees. The more info you provide the better feedback you will get :)

What happened to your old front end by any chance? Was that the authentic mazdaspeed bumper? Do you still have it?!

EmperorBen 04-11-2013 05:49 AM

no it was a replica the previous owner threw on it had horrible fitment and one mounting point in the front was broken

Take it to a body shop and let them do it.

this is not the forum I used to see... bunch of naysayers. I respect him more for trying to get advice from a strong community and trying to learn how to do the work on his own - literally built vs bought.
