do you know what the vents will look like?

 

all they told me is that they would be in the rotor shape on the hood. most likely where the edge of the depression.

 

MrEd, did they say that they were not incorporating the factory scoop into the hood? I'd hate to see that scoop go! Also does it come in red? Thanks.

 

they are keepeing the factory rotor shape and the are incorporating vents into the indention. and i beleive there is a red kevlar/CF hood.

Yes they do come in red kevlar/CF.

and they are going to keep the everything the stock hood has... and they are going to cut some vents along the depression of the rotor shaped scoop.

another update.

I just got my OEM hood back form Gemini today.... i saw the mold and everything they've done.... my CF hood is going to be ready in 3 days!

Mr.Ed your hood is coming right after mine :D cant wait to see your blue kevlar hood... drool...

Perfect fitment, beautiful weave pattern.....WOW

Mr.Ed you are up next... you blue kevlar hood is in the works ( you are going to have different vents than me i was told ;P)

the vent ( after starting up the car and driving for awhile i had my hand over the vent and tons and tons and tons of hot air rushes out of there.... i guess it works and serves its purpose :D)

I didnt want a CF hood that has big vents and such to jump out at ppl... so this design really suits me... the vent is functional.....its nothing too exagerating....did i mention i love it? :D

 

Nice hood that looks really good and not ricey at all. Once I get some money up, then I'll be buying it in Red/Kevlar!

Are they capable of doing any different kind of vents?

Red/Kevlar with SCOOT style vents would be a MUST HAVE for me.

Or, are they only entertaining the vent idea along the rotor indentation?

these guys have been more than awesome. i can't wait for mine. BIU, the hood looks BAD ***! i talked to marc and they are going to try and put a little more venting throughout the rotor shape on mine. that is if the hood will support it ok. i ordered mine with blue kevlar so i can't wait to see it on the car!!! i'll post pics!

Which style of vents are you going for?

Kevlar? Regular weave? V-Weave?

On a sidenote.... the fibreglass smell from my hood has just gone away WooHOO no more feeling like driving in a FBglass shop anymore :D

 

I am ordering the Carbon/Kevlar Red hood regular weave.

You might want to save up a little bit more dough.... im in the works with Gemini to make some CF interior pieces and possibly a CF fender vent :D
