Dude I seen this before. About two weeks ago I found some guy on ebay that was selling some for $98. They looked like dry carbon. So I emailed him asking if they are still for sale and to send me some pix. He said to paypal him but about three days later I went to check his ebay site and he took it down. Shady. So I tryed looking on google. But cant find anything.

Find an ABS plastic sheet at your local plastics distributor. I think I got a 4' x 8' 3/8" for under $100. Cut it with a jigsaw. Mounting will be your issue. Have yet to drive the car/test it. Most likely a really big splitter will require some help with the rear end as you'll be producing a high amount of high speed front grip on the track. Keep in mind that for a big splitter a car normally has a rear wing to balance the car out. Also keep in mind that a lowered car now has a nice protruding crash target for curbs and cement parking blocks. Lastly, the splitter will only work in high speed cornering situations. The consensus is 100 mph and above but I disagree. We are planning to test with and without the splitter (and wing) to validate this. Will have data later this summer. I'm expecting even better braking from high speeds (like entering the braking zone into 10a at Road Atl). Should make grip for T1, the esses, T5 and 12.

I dont track the car, but i kinda like the look of the splitter up front. I dont think i would go the size that you installed, but it looks good.

How does it fit in the center? with the MS nose having the lip on the sides as it sits. Is there a gap between the the peices?

A little gap. Filled it with a bead of caulking. If your going for the cosmetic look think then I would be hesitant about running this-----especially if your car is low. We have to take the nose off the car (which is a feature we built into this nose/splitter) to get the car in our race car hauler. I think you'd find times during daily driving where your likely to hit things by accident and tear off/hurt both the splitter and the nose.

yeah thats true, i not really that low, i have only bottomed the front bumper once in orlando, but was my fault. just put a few scratches under bumper.

But thanks for your opinion on a negative side for a daily driver. :)

a racer friend told me once splitters are pretty much meant to be knocked off. you have to consider that even if your not sitting very low, its still sticking out 3-4 inches farther than your bumpers lowest and most forward point. Remember to use fasteners that can break away relatively easy so if you do end up hitting it on something, it wont take out your whole bumper with it, just incase.

Was that 3/8" or 1/4" thick abs? I called around and everyone sells the 1/4 4'X8' for around $100 but a 3/8" sheet is 3-4 times as much.

Wondered how the testing on this went? I track my car 4-5 times a year and was thinking about making and installing a similar splitter for track use only. I have the whole MS body kit with rear bumper and spoiler. I find the front end of my car gets a little lite on the 80-90+ mph turns. Thought this might help.

Thanks
