So I just put on my Mazdaspeed front today which was relatively easy but I don't have the tools nor man power to do the side skirts.. and definately the patience alone.

I found it came out great tell me what you think!

You're going to need a drill and a hard stomach to drill into your car. It also help so have a lift but you're going to need to be able to get under the car as well. Goodluck.

I recommend if you do it yourself to take your time and use the templates- they do work.

I did mine myself with a friend and it worked great. I also recommend using some form of bonding agent to better hold the skirts to the car...the double sided foam tape isn't that great. After a year or so it will start to sag- happened to my friends car. Instead, use something like 3M Duramix 40/40 cement to hold the skirts on. Just be sure to have it in place- that stuff dries NASTY!

Also, I recall the instructions tell you to use a certain size drill bit but it's too big so the clips won't fit (they will be loose), match it up and use the next size smaller. Remember, you can always drill a hole bigger, but it's a hell of a lot of work to make the hole smaller ;)

i got a professional to do mine. if you're handy, go for it, but def not a beginner's job. i did my front but then drove it down to my shop here that i trust to throw them on...plus i wanted them painted. paint and install ran 400-500 i think, i forget.

Looks good, spence!

I recently purchased an aftermarket urethane MS style bumper - pretty much because I had to... I bought the car with no bumper, bumper cover, front wheel wells, and bottom skid plate. So, unfortunately, I can't really tell what I'm missing... The fitment leaves a bit to be desired, so I got some work to do, but besides that, I need to know what I have to buy/fabricate. so, hopefully since you've gone through this, you could help me out, spence...

How many screws hold on the bumper? Right now, all I know of is the one in each corner, behind the side markers. Is there anything holding the bottom lip in place? Does it attach somehow to the skid plate?

Also, did you leave the stock rubber duct/boots on the oil coolers? Because they seem too small for the bumper openings. I guess it really doesn't matter.

Could you please take some detailed close-up shots inside the grills by any chance? There seems to be a lack of them on the 'net.

^There are 10 bolts that attach underneath the car, from the bumper to the under panel. There are 4 bolts under the hood(2 on each side). There are the bults where the side markers are, and also the fasteners in the wheel wheel, About 5 fasteners hold the bumper in place on each side. You take the rubber oil cooler duct's off, the authentic MS bumper comes with plastic ones.
