A little confused on the appearence package vs ms kit

i love both the Masda Speed body kit and the Appearence Package but i cant decide.

These are my hold backs because i dont know much about it. please help me with this if u can

The Mazda speed kit looks really nice but some body kits upclose just dont look natural like its so obvious its a kit and its not part of the car i dont like that looks like it doesnt fit or its cheap or something now i dont know about the mazda speed kit maybe im jsut looking at a bunch of cheap kits but if i get the real ms kit will it crack easily is the clearence good are their alot of things to worry about if you use the car alot because i drive around alot and im just wondering if i should get the apperence package i mean it looks great also a good number of ppl have it but its still nice if i think they look about the same as far as how good they are except ms kit a little better regardless of the price which is a better decision with the apperence package i wont have as many worries it seams or am i being paranoid.

Or is it that the ms kit will do fine and i wont have any problems as long as its painted to match and put on right.?

thanks for your help

Maybe it's the Red Hooks....but I couldn't separate one thought from a question in that entire paragraph :D

OMFG. Use punctuation for the sake of God.

Basically, I think your questions were this:
1)Does the MS kit look natural?
2)What is it made of?
3)Is it strong?
4)Is it painted?

1) The Mazdaspeed kit was made BY Mazda, so it looks natural. I've seen the Urethane version on MikeB's '8. It looks good. Basically, stretch the nose of the stock bumper and you have the MS kit. The MS kit is a full replacement for the front nose, so that looks very stock. The sideskirts, IMO, look better than the appearance package skirts. The rear diffuser requires some cutting to fit, but looks like it belongs. All in all, it's about 20 CM lower, I think, than the base model. You can run a search to find the lowering, as it was posted (by Japan8, I think).

2) The REAL MS kit is made of the same stuff the stock bumper is made of. It's some plastic material that has a name I can't recall.

3) It's as strong as the stock bumper. IF you opt to get the Urethane kit, MikeB told me it's really strong, too.

4) The official MS kit comes painted the color of your car. You might be able to order it unpainted.

If your grammar is any indication of your ability to install body kits, I would highly suggest that you have someone else install it. After that, all should be well.

i feel you on your dilema, honestly there is no knock on the factory appearance package. Imo it's a nice clean look especially with front splash guards, slap on some clean rims it be one sick looking ride. On the other hand ms kit would offer the pleasure of being different from average dealership 8. Honestly you can't go wrong with either. :)

or even a mixture of the two. Thinking about MS front and appearance package/ w front splash guards to help preserve the side aero flares

Despite the grammer...

I understand your "confusion" albeit my confusion was a bit different than yours.

With the 20% off on MS accessories, the first thing I tought of was the MS front bumper, skirts, and rear. (the wing is still a bit too much for me)

I searched through all the pictures on the site and other links and suddenly I was thinking that my appearance package with rotary accents and front slpash guards actually looks almost as good. (Similar thought as IZoomZoomI had)

Is there a ~$2000+ difference in the way the car looks?

I guess it really depends on your personal taste and the uniqueness factor of the MS kit.

I'm thinking for around the same price I can get a decent set of wheels and an MS flywheel.

MS kit gets my thumbs up... i highly recommend it ;)

This is something I am seriously pondering as well. Don't have an 8 (yet), but I cant decide between the two versions.

I really would need to see the MS kit in person before making a final decision.

Can you order the MS kit through most Mazda dealers?
