i saw this kit and was wondering what you guys know about it. i am concerned just how low this kit is. if anyone has information or pics better yet, that would be awesome.

its a rip off of the Veilside Kit.

Heck... even the Veilside kit doesn't fit properly. I can't imagine a replica having any better fittment than the original...

NgoRX8 03-27-2006 01:15 AM

that kit isn't that low, if you stay stock height. i think kits are fine at stock height unless you live in a place that has killer roads.

and question on fitment... sorry, no idea.

Jabberwock 03-27-2006 01:31 AM

A couple of people bought that kit and supposedly it fits better than the actual Veilside one.

I have the Side Skirts and they fit perfectly.

hoosteen 03-27-2006 01:42 AM

that's amazing.

From what i've been told and what i've seen, the sideskirts are the worst offenders from the actual Veilside kit. which replica did you get?

Jabberwock 03-27-2006 02:08 AM

I got that green fiberglass one that others have gotten. I think its the same one thats always on ebay.

I have the VADER kit myself and it requires some minor work (especially for me) since it wanted to make it unique. Check out the pics if you want to know the clearance...
Itīs about 1,5 inches lower than the OEM front spoiler.

Jabberwock 03-27-2006 03:52 AM

Hey Petrus, your 8 looks great. The vader kit looks real good without the sidemarker, even though I like the sidemarkers.

The red on the front bumper looks way off, is that the finished color?

Petrus 03-27-2006 04:54 AM

It IS the finished color! Actually I donīt know how the color is, the photos made me a bit confused when first looking at them. IRL I canīt see any difference in between the 2. Hopefully itīs because the cameraflash or bad lighting inside... whatever.

looks great man. i just finished shaving the sidemarkers on my mazdaspeed replica front. its so much cleaner

in the 2nd pic you can tell that the paint is a little off..VR is a very hard color to match.

tcream24 03-27-2006 10:11 AM

not bad looking at all, thanks for the help guys. how long would you say it took you to do the whole install petrus?

Petrus 03-27-2006 10:35 AM

Iīm a perfectionist.... I think I spent around 25 hours trial and error fitting the bodykit, once done the finishing installation is done in a few hours.

Just to make things 100% clear: Bodykits from Extreme Dimensions DOES require some adjustments and the paintshop will have plenty of work to do because the surface is not that nice.
