engine bay dress up bolt kit?
Has anyone purchased or made one themselves?
I am thinking of making my own as buying them is a little expensive.. Interest? |
I didn't make my own but i bought a set of "bling bolts" off Ebay for $25.00 and was pleasantly surprised that they were actually pretty nice fender washers and allen head screws. One kit was enough to do three RX-8's and I just bought another kit just to have it.
You can kind of see them here. Pay no mind to the purple piece, it will be PC's black soon but it came purple so I slapped it on for lulz :) My battery is also now relocated to the trunk and I have a new coolant reservoir. http://www.flickr.com/photos/9krpmrx8/8163345539/ |
i dont get it ... exactly how much "bling" does this add lol
|
Not much but my bolts were all almost 9 years old and had been removed a few times so most of them were hurting.

something is wrong with your motor ... that intake is bent to hell man ... you should fix that
|
 it's a cold air intake noob.
Oh and the seller I got my fasteners from was arev.sales I got like 40 washers and 40 bolts for $25.00 shipped. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. But not of the bolts hold critical components anyway so........... |
Do not order from Dress Up Bolt.com, what a waste of money. I didn't even receive a full set as it was advertised, tried arguing with the owner to no avail,,, horrible experience. I would go the route of 9K if I were u Denny,
|
Yeah the prices of the brand name stuff is crazy. But if you are going with colored stuff the brand name stuff may last longer. In my experience even expensive anodized stuff fades over time. But for the price of the cheap stuff you can order a shit ton of it. I have about 80 extra bolts and washers at the moment,
