Does anyone make a non cf vented hood
I have been look for a fiberglass vented hood for my 05 any links or info on this will be great. Thank you all that reply to this thread. The only one i have been able to find on the net is the veil-side one and i don't really like that style of it.

not that I'm aware of, why do you want fiberglass over cf?
you could just simply paint a cf one if you do not like the cf look |
Varis makes their hood available in FRP (fiberglass)
It's over $1,000 though before shipping from Japan. Since the seibon line is just replicas of the Varis, you might check with them and see what they have. http://bulletproofautomotive.com/cat...il.php?ID=3490 replica brands = Seibon and VIS. check with both of them. fitment won't be AS good but the Seibon's are pretty good these days. |
^yes my seibon only needed minor adjustments when installing then fit perfect. I would go that route in order to save some money, unless your just loaded that is
|
Loaded i am far from, but you are right I just didn't want to paint a cf hood plus i guess it would go with the cf trunk that came with the car when i bought it. Seibon TSII is the style i like so i guess i will go that. So if anyone has one on here for sale i am in the market. thanks jedi54, mscamp02 for the information and support.

Technically the majority of hoods are fiberglass but they have a single sheet of wet carbon fiber on the top with a clear coat.
You could easily paint the hood if you wanted. Plenty of people have done it. |
Leg Motor Sport also has a FRP hood. It has a front scoop and it is vented.

why not buy a OEM hood from revvinsevens.com / Rotary Innovations and vent one yourself? That way you get the fitment and strength of the stock OEM hood and no cracking and fading of CF or FRP hoods? They are selling hoods for $50+ ........ They are located in Texas. Think of the Money you would save and how better quality of a product you would have. Thats just IMHO... and you wouldnt have to worry about fitment issues at all :bigok:
