Dent Removal
A week after I got my car I got a ding in my door. Nothing too noticable but I still noticed it. Nobody else could without me pointing it out.
Yesterday I heard an advertisement on KFI for Paintless dent removal services throughout the United States from 1800DentDoc.com the guys came out to my office and I watched them remove the dent. Im amused and amazed, in 20 minutes I had a perfect car once again. They used rods and stuck them in the door pressing it out. Anyone else done any dent removal and experienced such good results or maybe not so good ones? |
I have a small dent just like that
you can only see it if I point at it how much was the fix price? |
I paid 100.00 but I think you could easily talk them down.
|
100.00 is a tad much
but maybe I'll do it |
They drove out to me, that was a plus so my car wasnt in the shop the whole day. A bit pricey but cheaper than what I would have been charged at the dealer.
|
I had good results with my last car and dings in the hood and door.
My brother's black SHO incurred two separate two bouts of hail dents in Colorado, and was repaired both times to perfection by one of these services. $100 sounds about right for starters, then they usually adjust charges by number of panels they're repairing or number of dings or how many beers needed, etc. |
IBeFuBar said whatever mazda it is he works at does it for $50...
|
Well the place he works is the place I got the quote from -- go figure... maybe they switched people..
|

:( hey guys, speaking of dents, I noticed my RX had a tiny dent-looking mark on the front driver fender. Obviously I got pissed considering my car (at the time) was about 2 weeks old, but then I looked at the passenger side fender and notice an identical one (spacing and all).
Do you guys also seen this? (it's barely noticable, but it irks me in the slightest every time i look at it!) |
Do they need to take off the inner door trim panel and the black plastic plate behind it?
I suppose the answer is yes... but maybe they do this wonder without taking the door apart? |
They didn't remove parts, just slid their rods down by the window using a wedge to open it up for their needs. :)
