Chargespeed lip
Anyone rocking these?
http://www.more-japan.com/product.ph...0&cat=0&page=1 How low do they sit? Especially when the car has about an inch drop... I love this lip. Anyone have pics of it on their car with a drop? |
/subscribed.
Also my favorite lip so far. Very interested in pics if anyone has it. |
There is a WB from France with the kit. You can find pictures in the Calling All Winning Blues thread

:) I have em too..
Here's the thread for more info. on the kit. https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-multimedia-photo-gallery-6/gundarxs-new-kit-177245/ The front only ends up slightly lower than the appearance package. |
whats your suspension.. and how low are you?
|
Racing Beat springs and Tokico D-Spec shocks. I think it's slightly over an inch drop all around.

Oh wow, that's actually not that big... I expected it to be like the subarus. Theirs are pretty low looking. Thus why I asked about it on our cars. Although I was hoping to be it more thicker looking.

Anyone know or have any idea if the chargespeed kit could bolt on below the OEM appearance package front lip? I imagine the sides could easily be made to fit on the bottom of any straight side skirt.
Really just curious. I don't think I would give up the OEM lip for the chargespeed, but adding the chargespeed to the OEM lip...maybe. I'd have to see it, and see if it still works or not. I love how subtle the chargespeed lip kit is, and want a subtle front splitter under the OEM lip at some point. And I definitely want the Knight Sports side skirts, because they look dead sexy when paired with the OEM lip. Perfect match. I just think a subtle splitter would be the best addition. I will probably end up needing something custom made, but that is probably several years away anyway. |
^ I know the answer to that.
My friend and I test-fitted the Chargespeed front on his appearance package before installing it on mine. The bolts and shape will not line up. There's a big enough difference in the curve of the surface. As for the sides, I'm not sure if you can stack it there too. It's really fitted as close as possible to the car's rocker panels without any side skirts and follows the curves.. it's almost OEM. |
Ah. Great information. Thanks a ton for that. Probably back to planning a custom item then :)
...unless someone comes out with something that works before then. |
I guess it's only good for people who does not have OEM kits.

I think the CF will be more expensive... but I believe they offer FRP but then again those requires painting =[
