Caliper Paint: Where to Buy in Jersey?

Before I get flamed for posting this. I have looked at a lot of previous posts about painting the brake calipers. My question is a bit more specific. I'm trying to find Red brake caliper paint in a can. As I have read its a whole lot easier brushing the paint on rather than using spray paint.

I went to Autozone, Strauss , and I even called up PepBoys today. Every last one of them had the spray paint versions. Strauss in Jersey City had the Duplicolor - High Performance Caliper Paint Kits but only in black and silver. Which for my black 8 is not worth my time.

Now, I know I can order them online (and I'm almost tempted too) l but I wanted to work on my calipers this weekend being the weather is really nice. So if anyone in the North Jersey/New York area knows of a store that carries RED brake paint in a CAN (not aerosol ), please let me know. Thanks.

just get it online. the brush on paint won't take you very lone to do. Maybe an hour tops.
I was never able to find brush on stuff in any stores here in VA either. (least in blue)

I just redid mine a few weeks ago with the blue dupli color and it is SUPER easy.

Can't quite remember but I think mine actually came from walmart!

Save your pennies and get the G2 stuff.

I checked out G2 and it actually cost twice as much as the duplicolor kits. Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to order it off Amazon and try the install once it comes

G2 is supposed to be some good stuff. had it shipped all the way out here a few weeks ago. i'll get to using it one of these days

I used the cheap stuff on my rx8 initially. The problem is that it's thin and cracks after a while. It also doesn't stay glossy.

G2 costs twice as much, but it goes on thick, it's glossy, and the end result is something that looks like powder coating. The rx8 has had G2 on it for about 5 years now and it looks like it did when it was first applied. Glossy.

BTW, one nice thing to do before painting is to sand down the calipers. The bumps will show through the paint. Making it smooth helps give it a polished look.
