Lightbulb Black out Mazda emblems?

Okay guys. I have an idea to black out the area underneath the Mazda emblems. I've seen this done on a lot of concept cars and it looks pretty good.

This is a photochop job I've done and I wanted to get your opinions on this before I started.

Opinions welcome.

I think this is a mod people will either love or hate. To me, there isnt enough black on the whole vehicle to pull this off well. It'd look better if you tinted your headlights to be blacked out too.

More importantly, where did you get that renesis badge on the back? I want one.

I'm not a big fan of the painted black emblems. It's too much of a contrast.

That's why I was thinking of the black background. I first saw it with the Toyota concept car and thought it look great on white.

That was a DIY. You can buy the letters from http://badgeyourride.com/.

I posted a thread detailing everything.

Might look a bit better if you tint the headlights and taillights like socket said

Are there holes behind the emblem? if so are the holes very obvious?

I would drop my emblems i just dont have time to go get them filled in, and I dont want to drive around with the little holes so everyone can see them.

I like it with your emblems the way they are... I think the black looks a bit funky. I wouldn't even black out the chrome parts on your car. The chrome on white looks pretty sweet... Of course, so does your Renesis emblem.

Looks like 80% say leave it alone. Guess it wasn't such a great idea after all.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll just leave it for now until I get hassled by the mod bug again.
