I'll be doing another group buy thing in a month for the puddle lights. I'm recreating my rubber mold from the wear and tear it suffered through me creating a bunch the last group buy.

I'll keep you posted as I get closer to finalizing everything again and starting the group buy.

yeah i would definitely be interested also, pending on price... i looked at the old tread (skimmed) but i could not find the price...
also in the old thread it states it was easy, but you had to remove a door panel... how easy is it exactly? i know there was a PDF file but i could not find it either

Did these come factory on some models and this thread is for LEDs to replace the factory bulbs?

 

no its actually the whole assembly, the bulbs you can get anywhere...

 

if im not mistaken, i believe the GT models have everything but the bulbs for these puddle lights. The whole assembly is right there under the mirrors. At least I think that is what it is. I looked up under there and that is what it looks like. If im wrong somebody please correct me. SOmetimes I just talk to hear myself speak and this maybe one of those times.

 

you might just be talking about the black cover. try to pry it off and see if it pops off.

 

You are semi-correct.
The GT Mirrors do have a plastic tab on the bottom for where the puddle lights go (actually, I think all rx-8 mirrors have these) but if you were to take the tab out, you'd find that there isn't actually anything to hold the light.
This is where you'll need the puddle light assembly.
