Autobahn front clearance

Hey all, I'm thinking about getting the Autobahn kit for my car in the UK. Problem is over here we've got loads of speed bumps, and i don't wanna mangle the front on one of them!! Any idea how differnt the ground clearance is compared to stock/

Thanks in advance. :)

Check out the pics in my vBGarage. I have lowered my car about 1.5" and I have exactly 3" of clearence.

Thanks for the quick reply. So i guess that means i'll have about 4.5" clearance if i don't lower it.

P.S your car looks awesome man! I'm going green with jealousy! :)

tdiddy do you scrape alot ?

NgoRX8 06-14-2011 12:43 AM

he hasn't been on here in 4 months..

regardless, the amount of scrape depends on where one lives, what is considered a lot, and how patient and willing one is to angle, take different routes, park elsewhere, back in, etc.

it is about how you drive i been in love with this bumper for some time and im thinking about getting it for myself soon and i have a 2inch drop on my ride.

If i get this bumper, i am definitely sure my front will scrape and may not be drivable anymore...maybe only on the Las Vegas Speedway, i could...lol

RitchieRich 06-22-2011 07:37 PM

4 and a half inches couldnt be that bad for scraping could it ?

shakeyourbrakes 06-23-2011 08:46 AM

its low but drivable.. i rarely scrape, but Im all about the angles when an incline or speedbump comes up

RitchieRich 06-26-2011 12:21 AM

yeah I get what you mean
so what are those rubber pieces underneath your front bumper ? do they help with scraping or something
and how many inches of clearance are you running shake ?

shakeyourbrakes 06-27-2011 06:26 AM

I'd say without measuring, maybe 6". It's rubber garage door moulding actually tucked under the front lip. It protects it pretty well from scraping too bad, I just replace it every few months

Thats music to my ears lol
and that is a damn ass smart idea that i will most certainly be copying come september

NgoRX8 06-28-2011 11:45 PM

That is very very high...

RitchieRich 06-29-2011 07:56 PM

Yeah but the car looks great so I'd say thats all that matters
