Hi there peeps,
I found a GTC 200 Universal wing and i am interesed in buying it. I just had 1 questions. The owner said that the distance between the legs is 41,3 inches. You guy think that it would fit on the RX8???? Please let me know really, want that wing but have to make sure that it fits.

He was using it on an 200SX.

P.S I know there is a RX8 version, but cant buy it due to some reasons....

Step 3) Measure trunk

hmmm i was hoping to get a reply from a person who had a similar experience, instead of the 'just measure' one

 

You probably won't find too many people that have this wing,

So I'll repeat the steps for you:
Step 1) Get tape measure

I don't think there's an rx8 version actually. 200 sits too low for my tastes anyways

hey, i have the wing now. nice piece. has 2 places to fix it on the trunk. The pics at the link srinivasadi postes the wing is mounted at the other whole, u can mount it also with the inner whole. Depends to you. But nice and light looks good. worth buying

hey guys sorry that it took so while to add this following pic (profile). just got the wing mounted took a while,but its worth it. Looking to AEM CAI and drop it down w springs, hope i can do that soon too.

 

So I wanna do this wing on my 40th anni but I wanna sit it about an inch lower, do they have brackets for that?

 

not in either the standard RX8 kit fitment or the custom fitment (says std. height pedestals) , the universal drag style fitment uses lower height pedestals (doesn't say how much, you would have to contact them) so maybe you can make that work

just went to their website for the first time in a while, didn't realize they changed the wing design in late 2013, nor did I ever give them permission to use my car pic in their gallery, lol ...

except that a year or two later the sanctioning body disallowed aero at that class level so it came off and was sold, when it was on the car was at it's best for sure, was really disappointed when they made us remove everything.

in the next class level up we can run only a front splitter that doesn't exceed the vertical bumper contour, and only run a spoiler and not a wing in the rear. So I went in a different direction this time.

I might have to at least twist their arm for a discount in the future ...

 

Looks good! My only suggestion would be to fabricate a sort of reinforcement bracket to affix to the inside of your deck lid between the two uprights. Also, a pair of small rubber stoppers adhered to any part of the outside of the sealing area between the lid and where the quarter panels and rear body panel are seam sealed wouldn't be a bad idea either.
