Appearence Package
Hey guys, im looking to purchase the OEM appearence package for my 8. My dealer is too expensive, and someone on this forum suggested ordering from MAZDATRIX website. Their prices seemed decent to me but does anyone know if they are reliable. Anyone who has ordered from there before, please leave feedback. Also, are the pieces they are selling fiberglass or made of the same stuff that you would buy from thedealership?

I havent ordered from them, But they are reliable.
|
Thanks for the input. Anyone else know if their pieces are fiberglass or the actual oem part?
|
I believe they are the OEM part.
|
Sweet. Im def gonna have to order these then.

I've got a set coming in from them this week sometime....he tells me that he gets them from the local mazda dealer.....he tells me he can get the black cherry for my shinka.....my dealer tells me they arent available....I emailed Mazda corporate and they told me the same.......somebody's lying.......
I will keep you posted.....the saga continues |
Ok, ill hold off on ordering mine then until we see what happens with you. By all means, keep me posted, or shoot me a PM

I ordered my front air dam which is part of the appearance package from Rosenthal's.
Came in a timely fashion, was already painted and was priced right. Rosenthal Mazda has always been good to deal with and has good prices. You can get the rotary accents from them also. |
I just got my RB Exhaust from Mazdatrix, it was shipped the day I ordered.
|
I suggest ordering it from one of the forum members, not only will you get a much better deal but you'll be supporting this great forum!
:D |

EDIT: Ok, well my plans to sell the OEM package off my car have been postponed for a few months. I'll let everyone know, in a new thread, when i'm putting them up for sale again. |

Just a quick question. Im going to install the front air dam soon and i have the front rotary accent. Does that have to be removed enorder to install the front bumper? I did find a dyi on installing front air dam, but it didnt mention that part...thanks!

YEAH!!!!! I got my appearance package yesterday from mazdatrix.....and guess what?????? it was black cherry, just what I ordered.....funny though considering my dealer told me it wasnt available from the factory in that color.... and of course these were genuine mazda parts right in the genuine boxes.......
I love mazda trix........I will probably buy my catback from them.... :D |

 Do you all install these parts on your own? If so how simple is it? If not then where do you get them installled after you order them online?

The side skirts I bought used, so had no pattern. If you buy new with pattern, piece of cake. I ended up doing a lot of measuring, lipstick marking and praying, but they turned out great. I think it will be nerve wracking to a novice due to you having to drill holes directly into the sheet metal of your car. SCARY! But in the end, it was not hard to do, and with a patern, it should be no problem. (HINT = Use sharp drill bits here, if they are dull and you press too hard, you can dent your sheet metal before you ever drill a hole into it.) Now I need to find a deal on the rear aero flares and I will be complete. BigOLund, I sent ya an email!! :) |
