Wheel Speed Sensor Tooth Count
Pretty sure I can get the Haltech to drive the dash speedo if I directly wire up one of the ABS sensors. If anyone has any info on the sensor type and the number of teeth on the trigger wheel, that would help me to calculate teeth per km. That's how haltech likes to figure out speed. Potentially looking at this as a route to ABS functionality as well If I wire up all 4 wheels. Haltech has traction control ability based on rear vs forward wheel speeds, not that I'm particularly interested beyond figuring it out.
Thanks Cheers |
Did you ask Haltech?

Update, The Tooth count is 39.
I have had success wiring in one of the Wheel Sensors to the haltech and it does drive the factory speedo. The magic number for factory wheels and tires is about 26,300 pulses per km. That is a good starting point I recommend tuning it in better for each car. The sensor type is a reluctor, one wire is a ground. The signal is not great at low rpm it seems to jump around a bit but at higher speeds it reads fairly stable. I think this something to do with arming voltage for the sensor, gonna keep playing with it. |
Off topic but is that your last name? Blackwell? Cause that's my last name and I rarely see it around here.
