Turbo/Emanage- ECU reset
How often do you guys have to reset your ecu by pulling the negative cable to keep your tune? Just wondering.
Also what are the differences of the LTFT and STFT ? Does STFT reverse itself quickly while LT stays put and takes more fuel out? Thanks Chris |
On a similar note, would it be desireable to pull the plug on your ecu before putting on the greddy and then tuning it?
So that when you tune you start with a "fresh plate" for the factory ecu so when you reset it by yanking the battery cable it restores your original tune. Very curious also about the above question. |

My problem has been now after I am running the turbo, my mixture starts getting lean after a few days under boost and I have to reset the ecu. ECU has to be tampering with it somewhere, somehow!
So once you notice it starting to run lean, you reset the battery and the car runs fine again for a few days. It will starts to adapt again so you just reset again? Do you have to enter the code for the radio to work each time? Seems annoying but it also seems like it will work until I can see if the Interceptor-X does what its supposed to and I can collect the $. |
when i'm tuning my NA setup i don't reset the computer. I like to let the computer settle out to where it wants to and then tune on top of that.

That is what happened the first time, now I am always watching the a/f gauge. I don't have a code on my radio so no entering code here. Do have to reset presets, time, etc though.
