Spare a map?

I'm looking to add a few COBB maps, not overly thrilled with the ones that come with it. Has anybody in their time collected a map that would be compatible with an aftermarket intake (K&N Typhoon II) and an Agency Power underdrive pulley? Or a better one than the stock performance setting. Let me know, thanks.

MazdaManiac 01-15-2009 11:15 AM

The calibrations that come with the AccessPORT are poo.

That is all.

PaQuiN 01-15-2009 12:14 PM

No teasing....gimme the maps, I know your stashing them!

laythor 01-15-2009 12:32 PM

He could sell you maps that he makes specifically for your car... click on the AP in his sig.

Easy_E1 01-15-2009 12:38 PM

Now that I have a Navigation system I have a few extra maps I won't be needing. Would like them? :lol2:

Me thinks that, like the dozen or so folks out there that have already tried, that a five-finger discount is on this individual's mind.

alienRX8 01-15-2009 12:47 PM

NOTHING is for free!

edit: well pron is

Jedi54 01-15-2009 12:49 PM

5 finger discount FTW! That's how I got MY ap maps. ;)

PaQuiN 01-15-2009 01:13 PM

5 finger, exactly! I don't have a few hundred lying around to get that last ounce of performance out of my car. I was hopeing someone would have had similar mods and an archived map that they could post up. I havn't seen any maps of any kind posted anywhere. No use having MM make me up a map if I just plan on doing other mods, dont want to waste any time/money.

ah.. so you didnt read MM's AP thread.. gotcha.

Jedi54 01-15-2009 01:22 PM

problem is the custom maps are the property of MM and cant be transfered, copied, etc without his written consent.

ie; that's why there's none posted.

Damn! someone beat me to it! haha-

PaQuiN 01-15-2009 01:42 PM

Ah screw it. Economy mode if fine for me...this seems like too much of a bother by everyone's reactions.

Jedi54 01-15-2009 01:46 PM

hey PaQuiN: not a bother, just unfortunately not a request that anyone will be able to comply with. As I said, the maps are locked and MM doesn't allow them to be shared so you won't ever see anyone post up a map.

There might be others out there making maps with the Race Tuner so just keep an eye out

PaQuiN 01-15-2009 02:05 PM

I'm cool with the process. I just know I won't realize much gains without a turbo. So when I put that turbo on I'll pay for the program and start buggin' MM.

StealthTL 01-15-2009 08:26 PM

ECCchh....that Economy map is REALLY poo!

I tried it to see how many miles I could squeek out of a tank, but it took all the 'go' out of the car! If I wanted to drive a Sentra, I'd buy one, so I went straight back home and changed maps.

Guess I'll never find out how many miles.....

S

PaQuiN 01-15-2009 09:22 PM

Went from 325km to 400km

MazdaManiac 01-15-2009 09:26 PM

I typically see over 450km/tank with one of my turbo tunes.
N/A should be the same.

PaQuiN 01-16-2009 09:00 AM

Wish I would have known the COBB is a lead paper weight BEFORE I bought it...didn't know you sold them with programming.

Well, you can purchase the programming service from me.
Just click on the link in my SIG.

PaQuiN 01-16-2009 10:22 AM

Ya I know...eventually I will. Could have saved myself $300 large, which for me is a lot of money. (More like $375 for me cus of that damned Canadian $$$...) I would send mine back and order one for you but I paid a bloody fortune in duty taxes...

MazdaManiac 01-16-2009 10:28 AM

That's too bad. I wish I could help you out there.
I thought the Canadian dollar was stronger than the American dollar right now?

PaQuiN 01-16-2009 12:24 PM

6 months ago it was. The market can turn quickly. It's at about 80 cents on the dollar right now. Would you say there is a significant increase in power, economy, and reliability with your updated maps for my application? I know it would be almost mandatory for a Turbo but just wondering if the benefit is as great for an NA vehicle.

Daemos 01-17-2009 02:25 PM

MM provides a great service =) Seriously, offers really good customer service =) He even takes into consideration that being in Canada I can't exactly go out and datalog without killing my self =D can't wait for the snow to be gone and to be able put the summer tires back on.

And you should be getting more than 375km to a tank...I get much more than that on a stock map in winter (my last tank was over 400km)
