ON ScanXL Pro Dyno, I'm doing something wrong here...

I'm doing a 3rd gear pull in scanxl pro's dyno and I'm only getting 93HP and 82ft/lb torque, I have final drive set to 7.3326. What am I doing wrong, I know my car has more HP then that, I can stay neck and neck with a 3.8L genesis coupe! Something is wrong with how I set it up.. Any ideas?

Not familiar with the software, but wouldn't tire size play in the final drive ratio as well?

yeah it does, and I know that much is right.. You just put in the tire size and it calculates diameter for you, and uses that for whatever it does..

Other than that, how do you like the software? Do you have the Mazda enhancements?

Maybe it wants to calculate your gearing from the actual final drive ratio, rpm, tire size, and speed. With just one unknown, it is simple algebra.

ON

the software is awesome, takes a little bit of time to familiarize yourself with it, but I find the logging you can do with it saves me alot of time in writing excel formulas by giving me more options on stuff to log, like 500+ things.. and no I dont have the mazda enhancement yet, I may get it later though.. you can change the final drive ratio after your done your pull and it will recalculate, but the only thing that seems to change the HP is the weight, because the rest of the variables in the HP equation seem to be instantanious data from logging, wheel size too, but i have the right wheel size in there... I put my car as 3000LBs just too test since thats approx. what an 05 weighs... and its a haggered result, all messed up! O_O

Thanks, I think I'll have to get a copy when budget permits. It is a shame the AccessPort is so limited in this regard. It has all the hardware to do really good logging, but the firmware is just crappy abandonware now.
