Ya think?

Have you 'scoped the power supply to the Int-X? How about just checking the fuse?

i meant the ign lite on the interceptor not bein on. but anyways, i finally got it to work. i had to change the COM PORT in my laptop for it to link up wit the X. so now i need to get a custom manifold built for my GT45 turbo. that will be expensive i think.

Nope. Not for long, anyway.

With really judicious tuning, you can get it to stay off until there is even the slightest change in the weather.

I have ignored the cel for about 3 years now also - but I have a NJ inspection coming up in 2 months and car won't pass with cel. I have not found many viable options.

Due to the small size of the factory injectors this should be set to ~75%-80%. Two years ago during the development of the Interceptor-X I found this traditional method of tuning to be less desirable than the alternative route I chose using the factory injectors. Your right BTW, if you were to swap in say our 650cc primary injectors this would give you more primary headroom and allow a smoother transition between stages. Regardless, BE CAREFUL WITH THE STOCK FUEL SYSTEM AND THIS STAGING. Both rpm & map criteria must be met before all 6 injectors are online, if one of your criteria are not met the Interceptor-X will do what you told it and will shut some of injectors off. Hope this helps and happy tuning,Scott
Scott, when talking about finding this "traditional method" undesirable, what was it that you found to be unsatisfactory? Can you please elaborate on that?

Well i installed the interceptor x with the turbo kit type 3 and-with stock coils this time-the interceptor will give power only to 3 of the coils-spark plugs etc and when we remove it and have only the stock ecu it will give power to all the 4 coils-plugs..

Any help here????

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but here goes. I've got an 05 mt with the rb intake and ram air duct, mazsport ignition solution, sr highflow cat and greddy catback... These seemed to do something for a little bit, but I think not so much anymore... Anyway, how much gain would I be looking at with the int-x? Plus any mpg gains, lol?

I only gained 20 from the base turbo map to a tuned one. How are you going to gain 30?

On an N/A car, the gains are negligible (3 - 7 HP) and the fuel economy will likely go down.

I think Scott has gotten better gains with the 4-port NA than the 6-port. At least that was my understanding. I know for invasion08 he gained about 20whp.

Sooo... $1500 for SOMEwhere between 5 and 30hp? (very doubtfull about 30 or even 20 to be honest). So it seems to me like the cobb would be a better deal... Yes no?

You can find a used IntX for cheaper than that, but you would still have to pay for a base map and/or a tune. To get 20 hp, I'm sure you'd need a tune.

That said, I agree that the reflash solution is a superior overall solution. I just haven't heard of someone getting gains NA on the 4-port yet. But that really doesn't apply to your situation

I thought one of the tuners had reported 20 hp gains or so on the 6-port with the Cobb?

Well, I was able to take a "turbo" IntX (came off a car with the Pettit supercharger) and run it NA. I just needed a different map. I'm not sure about the reverse direction. I would think it would just be in the maps, but I'm not sure.

If nothing else, this post will bump your thread so that hopefully someone more knowledgeable will answer

hey guys, anyone know where i can find an electronic copy of the original manual for the int-x? the original owner instaled it and i never thought to ask for it. i tried to go to mazsport.net but it seems to not exist anymore.....
my prob is trying to connect to the int-x with my laptop. i loaded the driver for the usb adapter (and i confirmed it works by hooking up to my power commander on my bike), and instal the software for the int-x. i try to connect with the ign on as it says, using port 1 or port 2 and i get a "not available" message.

Check your COM port settings on the USB adapter. Make sure it grabs COM1 or COM2 or you won't be able to connect to it. You also need a LAPTOP ADAPTER in between the USB adapter and the COM cable.

INTx is a Microtech LT10...download the manual from the Microtech Website

You need a dongle.....you won't connect with a regular serial cable

Does anyone know if the IntX uses the stock intake air temp sensor for fuel calculations? I've noticed my mileage decrease significantly with the really cold weather we've been having. I thought I had been told that the IntX only accounts for air temp if you have the aftermarket IAT installed. But it doesn't make sense to me that fuel economy would go down unless it was adding more fuel for the cold temps.

Don't get me wrong - I hope that it is using the sensor. I just didn't think originally that it was.
