Cannot download BETA AccessPORT firmware

I recently purchased an AccessPOR from MazdaManiac for my EUDM RX-8. The instructions tell me to download the BETA firmware to give my AP power to communicate with the EUDM car. However, the AP Updater gives me a thread of error messages instead of making what it should.

The messages are as follows:

As a result aссessport cannot communicate with my vehicles ECU. It even cannot install itself...
Any ideas how to solve this problem? For now it looksa like wasted 800 USD...

Looks strange!
Are you running the latest accessport manager and updater?
I'm sure that you'll sort this out so don't look at that 800$ paperweight like that, you will love it!
While I am not being of any concrete help i must say that both Jeff (MazdaManiac) and Cobb have been able to solve firmware issues in a short time.

I tried all the available versions of APUpdater - the one on the disk, the one from the links on the COBB site and the one from the MazdaManiac site as well. Same result everywhere...

I tried here in the States and it appears that thier web site is have issues with the locations of the AP-MAZ-001 software. hence the 404 and 403 errors being seen.

So hopefully they are working on it and maybe Mazdamaniac has a copy of the Beta FW you need.

Your AP is running the most current version of the firmware.
As I pointed out to you in your e-mail, your RX-8 has an unsupported ROM.
Please follow the instructions on the install screen to provide a "ROM dump".

But HOW??? All the install screen tells me is "Turn the key to OFF, ensure proper connections, turn the key to ON and retry the install procedure".

Found the problem. One of the pins on the OBD connector is broken. I guess i will need to fix it somehow...
