HELP! DIY Repair to Cobb Accessport Internal Connector

Hey Guys

So Purely RX8 was not help (whats new) But I REALLY need a photo of the internals of a Cobb V2 with the black 9 pin connector. I only have a single photo and you can see it isn't enough for me to figure out the pinout.

Even better if someone could tell me what color to each pin that would be the bomb. Trying to do a repair on my Cobb but I have a feeling it is wired incorrectly.

Thanks!
Dustin

Hey 200 Curious if you got anything? Also if you need it fixed I would be more than willing as long as I could source a connector.

I pretty much need to map out the connector. There are 9 pins and I need to know which pad each pin goes to on the pcb. Whether that is by the color of the wires, or just left to right, etc.

Cobb discontinued support for the V2's completely, so IIRC they do not repair or reset V2 Cobbs anymore.

I am very surprised to see this. I called and emailed Cobb and to be completely honest I was very pissed at their responses over the phone. Literally here was the convo:

Me: I need pinouts for the connector on the v2b

Cobb: We no longer offer support for the Cobb v2

Me: Mine is broke and I really need it. Is there anything I can do to get this fixed?

Cobb: No sorry we no longer offer support for Cobb v2

Me: So what am I suppose to do with this paperweight?

Cobb: Sorry you will just have to buy a used one.

I hung up after this. No sympathy, no willing to help someone with an older product. Genuinely pissed me off.

The person in email at least felt bad and explained its just proprietary info that they cannot release.

I tried to tell you. Sorry dude.

Also to be clear for anyone reading, that also means if you buy a cobb second hand from someone and it isn't unmarried when you get it, you are stuck with a paperweight because Cobb will not unlock it.

For the purpose of this thread I hope this becomes useful for anyone that needs to repair a Cobb.

I reached far and wide in google ending up in BMW, Subi, Mini Cooper, and many more pages trying to cobble together info on this problem. It was surprisingly difficult to get anyone to send me photos or help but FINALLY got someone to help out a ton.

Regardless I have made my own pinout in Solidworks to quickly illustrate it.

Has anyone figured out how they are married and how to “divorce” from a dead car? I don’t have one or need one, but it would be cool to reverse engineer it.
