DIY: Front Bumper Mesh

So I did some searching online to try and find the mesh that goes in a front bumper to protect internals and I couldn't really find much, which makes me think I've been typing in the wrong things. So my question to you is: My front bumper currently does not protect the radiator and I need to put some mesh in there, what are my choices here. I'd like to seriously consider a DIY, what would I purchase and from where? But also, are there any places online where I can purchase some mesh? Keep in mind I'd just like to get some black mesh (less noticed). Also, I did do a search prior to posting this thread, and I found another thread that's basically asking the same question as me, but no real good response,

There it is. Thanks for the responses,
Kevin

Have you seen these? http://www.racingbeat.com/RX8/Coolin...screenset.html

Hmm, good find. That seems to be pretty much what I'm looking for but: am I wrong in thinking that some mesh on the front is $100? I'm wondering if this is something I could possibly get at a hardware store, grab some black spray paint, paint the mesh black and somehow mount it, which brings me to my next question. If I were to buy that kit you linked, they don't have anything included to mount it. Any ideas? Also, thanks for posting that link, I might in fact do that.

Pretty sure they do come with mounting hardware, if they did not I dont see why anyone would buy the screens and not DIY the whole thing.
Yes you can easily go down to a hardware store(home depot, lowes, etc) and pick up some mesh and do it yourself. I cannot tell you how your going to mount it but I am sure you could find a way. Just make sure the mesh has big enough holes to allow proper air flow, if you go with small holes you will starve the coolers of air.

You are welcome. And yes, like xexok already said, you can probably go to the hardware store and buy the parts yourself if you do not want to purchase them from Racing Beat. They do come with the mounting hardware and are easy to install as well.

Hmm, I would've thought that they'd list all the parts on the page but maybe not? It just says: The package includes two (2) Oil Cooler Screens and one (1) Air Conditioner Condenser Screen. But if you guys are sure it includes the mounting hardware then maybe it is worth $100 :p

I have those. They work great for me.
All mounting hardware is there

You can't beat Racing Beat. Hmmm... good slogan. ;)

And yes, their a/c condenser/radiator and oil cooler screens come with all hardware and well written/pictured directions.

I went to Menard's ( same as Lowes/Home Depot) and got some aluminum rain gutter screen. Cut it to size with sissors (aluminum is soft). And installed it over my oil coolers. Putting it behind the rubber ducting probably would have sufficed, but I put a few tye wraps on the left/right side in addition.
I haven't investigated the A/C Condenser yet. It shouldn't be any different

I'll probably check this out first...I'm sure racing beat has some quality products but going your route is probably 1/10 of the price. Once again thanks everyone for the posts.

Reaver-

Back in 2008 I bought mesh inserts off e-bay from a company called GrilleGuy. Paid $109.98 total. $89.99 for the mesh inserts the rest in shipping. Don't know if the company is still around. I have pictures of them instald on my car in my profile pictures.........

I took a look, it looks very professional. Nice job, I'll seriously consider going that route, I assume it was pretty easy to install.
