which wires are the 0-5v and ground wires on MAF sensor harness?
 

im installing a meth injection kit that runs off of the 0-5v output from the mass air flow sensor. so the instructions say i need to wire the 0-5v hot wire and the 0-5v ground wires from the MAF sensor...anyone have a diagram or know the colors of which wires these are on the MAF harness?

so far im hearing that the yellow with red stripe wire should be the 0-5v hot and the ground is black with green stripe..can anyone confirm this?

awesome man thanks... so the black with green stripe is definitely the ground but which one is the 0-5 v hot that i need? what does the number 5 with the letter next to it represent? one says 5v the other says 5n and then 5k. does the 5v mean 5 volt?

Try the one that says "MAIN RELAY". lol

Because that's the MAF output, not the power wire.

for future reference can you tell me how that diagram tells me what the 0-5v output is, or doesn't it?...

"hot" always means power.
"signal" means the output of said device.

yeah he knew wat i ment too....and in my book hot can mean any wire with voltage but power always means power and signal always means signal.. i never said power wire.but i digress thread closed...

"Hot" ALWAYS means power.
It NEVER means signal.
Now, you can say the signal is hot, but you have to specify it as the signal first.

hot means voltage , it is used much more commonly to describe a power wire but it can mean any wire with voltage especially when your comparing it to a ground...Miriam Websters agrees..."Charged or energized with electricity: a hot wire"

So, you've got two wires to choose from.
One is carrying about a volt and the other is carrying 5 volts. Which is the "hot" wire?

You are arguing a moot point.
You thread failed because you asked the wrong question.
Everyone that attempted to answer you did so based on your improper use of the word "hot".
That should be all the evidence you need to see where you screwed up.
