What aftermarket exhaust?

What aftermarket exhaust you use? Why? How much

Fanman 05-23-2005 12:49 AM

Racing Beat

TRU681 05-23-2005 02:30 AM

I just heard the Racing Beat in person & it's sounds pretty good. It sounded louder than I expectd since everyone said that it wasn't that loud. I would choose the HKS or Racing Beat.

we had this poll a while ago, another one?

Why? Because after researching, it seemed to fit me needs the best. Not overly loud, great quality, etc.

How much? Well, I use it daily since it is on my car :D Seriously though, I bought from RX8 Store, they have the best price.

I recently purchased Racing Beat after about a month of intense research. After about a week of driving, I barely notice the exhaust anymore. For me this is a good thing.
For some, it would be almost stock, but that is the beauty of it.
Speaking of beauty, when I got the exhaust, the quality is VERY impressive...

therm8 05-24-2005 11:32 PM

Rx8store's, because it sounds the best, it's lighter than stock, and it is high quality.

Borla - love the deep throaty sound!!!! I did a lot of research (spent a couple of weeks at least) checking out the most popular...My speed shop will match any price so I got is for $650. please with the purchase, install and sound....seems like there is a little increase in HP.....maybe its my imagination!!!! :D

goforwand 05-25-2005 07:24 PM

Racing Beat-because it's loud when it's supposed to be loud and quiet when it's supposed to be quiet.

otrovago 05-25-2005 07:34 PM

Racing Beat - right size tips and nice deep sound, not loud...

TeamRX8 05-26-2005 04:08 AM

here's a catback straightpipe setup just slapped together on short notice (less than a week to prepare), ultimately will use a Burns Stainless muffler with light gauge stainless tube in there soon to get the noise a bit more reasonable, since there is little/no HP advantage to changing the muffler your only choice for maximum performance is to go for minimum weight, don't waste your breath commenting about the empty openings looking dumb or whatever, this is not for poseurs

apotocki 05-31-2005 12:45 PM

RX8Store's = Magnaflow
Loved the looks of the tips, and besides that, the sound is awesome - somewhere between RB and GReddy.
Price = take at look at the website!

Richard Paul 05-31-2005 04:53 PM

Hymee. looks, quality, sound. That's it!

XDEEDUBBX 05-31-2005 05:13 PM

HKS for its quality...like i said before..its louder than racing beat but not as loud as the greddy exhaust...top notch quality..thats what you get when you buy HKS..

mmats69 07-01-2005 08:54 AM

Seems like people here love the Racing Beat exhaust. I went with the magnaflow myself. The sound is ok but I like the big tips.

RX-GR8 07-01-2005 09:03 AM

racing beat. good quality. loud when it needs to be. was about $600 delivered. $80 for installation by midas muffler.

RotorManiac 07-01-2005 09:17 AM

Trust Titanium catback...
4.8kg and "burned tips"

MedicineMan 07-01-2005 10:37 PM

I went with the Racing Beat because of their quality and the sound. $615 to my door and me and my 10 year old installed it on a Saturday morning. So far I've been very happy with all of the Racing Beat products I've purchased. I guess sway bars are next

auzoom 07-05-2005 05:39 AM
