V-Band for Cat to Cat Back Coupling

I am considering putting a V-Band where the cat and cat-back meet. We are all familiar with the donut gasket bottleneck setup there.

The Question is, will removing it net a power increase?

IF it does... I'm sure it would be very very minimal.

you mean the donut that allows the catback to move freely without acting like a giant lever against your engine?

just get a turboxs - their donut/piping is 3" all the way.

Damn you TeamRX...I hate your usefulness...

Good Stuff...

:eyetwitch

PS: WTF are you doing now? U've been quiet...awfully quiet...

I used a 4" V-band in that connection on my new exhaust and it works fine. It doesn't provide flex though so you must have it just right when you weld the flanges in or it will not fit right.

I really like the aircraft connector ideal, it makes sense...way to go Teamrx8
