wait someone was saying there was a car at sema showing tuning thru a game boy- is the company ?

you are correct that kit is sooo sick its called the Dtec where it hooks up to the game boy!

So, what special features does this have for our car? Is it a piggy back or like FCON?

Hooked through a game boy? HAHA, thats nicee

The Utec is a piggy back and the Gameboy is more of a fuel computer

so from what I'm reading it can control ignition as well. Any idea when its going to be available?

Well according to that link it's a standalone, not a piggyback. That's for a WRX but I assume it would be the same for a RX-8. And the gameboy is just for a display, it's not actually doing the calculations. :rofl:

I was thinking about the e-manage but I may reconsider now

for fuel it does trick the MAF like a piggyback. it says in the future they will have some maf t map conversion for actual control
