is a throttle body worth it?

i currently have a catback dual borla exhaust and a K&N Typhoon intake system i was looking at a throttle body spacer and some people say its not worth it and just adds weight to your car is it worth my money or no

Arca_ex 08-20-2011 01:21 AM

Unless you need it for Nitrous or Water/Methanol injection ports then there aren't really any benefits.

Jon316G 08-20-2011 01:22 AM

If you're adding nitrous or water/meth injection kit... sure its worth buying.
EDIT: Damn you Arca ex... beat me to it.

lol really? k&n not good enough for you

bse50 08-22-2011 02:33 AM

Nope, it's a piece of garbage that actually sucks hot air. There are datalogs posted on this very forum about it, too.

It depends what k&n he is talking about, if he just did the drop in filter for the stock air box then it gains maybe a couple of hp but sacrifices the better filtering of the oem filter for it.

Thanks for starting one more BS thread that provides you with an excuse not to search because it brings up all the other BS threads ...
