Is there a definitive solution for o2 simulator with midpipe?

hi

I've seen there are lots of post with different solution to stop the cell problem with the midpipe and o2 simulator

I thinks several of you are driving with midpipe and try different solutions

so could tell us your final solution to stop the cat cell ???

thanks

Fanman 03-29-2006 12:32 PM

Yeah, it's called get a catalytic you polluting bastard :mdrmed:

Get a high flow cat and all your problems are solved.

StealthTL 03-29-2006 01:07 PM

So far...

I've not heard of a working solution, so far.

S

TeamRX8 03-29-2006 02:01 PM

You've heard of it, just refuse to acknowledge it

The GTAW bushing is working for some people :dunno:

I've got one I'll let you try, if it works you pay me for it, if not send it back

hamsta 03-29-2006 09:25 PM

hey i would like to try that bushing from you if thats ok

ddub 03-29-2006 11:19 PM

Do the 18mm spark plug defouler trick, same concept as the GTAW "bushing" except it costs about 2 dollars to do.

TeamRX8 03-29-2006 11:36 PM

similar, but not the same, nobody has gotten one of those to work yet

ddub 03-29-2006 11:40 PM

They aren't doing it right then maybe? I've personally seen it work a few different local cars.

florent75 03-30-2006 03:39 PM

receive the ebay o2 simulator today

looking for a tube actually

I try to do the modification this we

I think it will not work ... but I try it ...

TeamRX8 03-31-2006 12:54 AM

again, it's not the same thing ...

florent75 04-01-2006 05:58 AM

yes

but really similar :
2 defouler with 1 hole

I contact GTAW ... .no answer

florent75 04-02-2006 04:37 PM

hello

I've got my custom midpipe now

what a sound .... it's really noisy

and the car smell like the small 1/8 thermic buggy (funny)

I drive for 15 miles with my o2 simulator ... nothing yet

I think tomorow I will see the cell......

ddub 04-02-2006 04:39 PM

I've driven with my midpipe for about 300 or so miles with no CEL and NO simulator/bushing... Sometimes it takes a while. So give it a couple thousand miles before you know it "works" :p:

florent75 04-03-2006 02:20 AM

oki

thanks

will wait and see

amizing the sound ....

I think I drive a bike with an akrapovik lol

do you now if there is a difference with torque or hp between a supercat and a midpipe ??

a little difference (1-2hp) or big (5-8 hp) ???

florent75 04-07-2006 01:58 AM

hello

now arround 150 miles .... and no cell

I think it's ok

but it's really loud

perhaps the solution :

exhaust valve controller :

BigOLundh 04-07-2006 03:26 AM

that goes with a cut-out which would be infront of the CAT. From what i understand the gains are going to be very minimal.

I talked to RP before i ordered mine. They said there was barely any difference between the two, and highly recommended going with the high-flow cat.

I think the difference in hp should be minimal

but when I see how the car rev now without the cat

I think you should have a difference in torque with the cat (minimal perhaps cause it's a sport cat)

Same thing I was thinking!

TeamRX8 04-07-2006 11:19 AM

maybe they're just more environmentally responsible than most of you guys ...

Moostafa29 04-07-2006 11:19 AM

You'd notice the difference more with a turbo'd car than n/a.

Businesses aren't environmentally responsible :p:

Plus they're in Texas, since when is anyone in Texas concerned about the environment? (joke)

florent75 04-19-2006 02:24 AM

hello guys

300 miles later ...... the cel come on ..

so the o2 fouler on ebay is not working ....

I buy today the bonez cat .....

SRrx-8JC 03-05-2007 09:44 PM

so reading through all of these post on this thread....you guys would reconmend that it would be better to go with the high-flow cat. There really isn't a difference that much in power, and you are really just paying for the loudness, oh and the two foot flames that shoot out the back. Thats my next question would you still be able to shoot the flames with the high flow cat on.....I think that is cool as shit, that way if some A-Hole gets to close I can just give it a rev and take care of him.
