srmotorsports INTAKE
I wanted to know if anyone has added the srmotorsports intake.... and if so does it void your mazda warranty.... Also if it does can it easily be removed when taking the car into the dealer... Can the dealer figure out if your using an intake if you remove it when taking it in for repairs
Thanks |
Just judging by the pictures.. I'd say yes, they'll know it's there.. it replaces the big plastic box with a big shiny metal can... did you take a look at their product??
|
but...if you replace it back before you go into service...they'll never know...but that would be a PITA if you ask me...have you removed the stock box yet?

It won't void your warranty unless they can prove the damage was done by you having the aftermarket intake on your car. But they can refuse to service your car (I had that happen with my Mustang at Ford) until you replace it.

I believe NoTears316 has this intake. You may want to ask him about the warranty, I believe he looked into this as well.

I had the intake on my RX-8 for quite a while. Recently sold it because I am getting the Racing Beat intake once it's out. I had no trouble with it. Looked good under the hood. Not too terribly loud.

It was fun while it lasted, but I'm doing the same as philodox...
Here was my way old thread: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-aftermarket-performance-modifications-23/sr-motorsports-30912/ |
It shouldnt take you more thanhalf an hour to take out your aftermarket intake and put the stock intake back on.
