He wants a stronger LSD

there are numerous choices; KAAZ, OS Giken, Cusco, Mazdaspeed, Torsen, etc.

Well the main focus is to hav alot better lower end power..im tired of losing the 1/4 mile...and turbo isnt an option due to location

unsure of location comment, but a 5.33 is not going to fix the tq and hp..

but you have been given the location for the gears..

The only shorter gear ratio is a 5.12 R&P sold through the Mazdaspeed Motorsports racer program.

Mazmart can probably provide you with it. Otherwise they have a gear ratio thread in their forum vendor area.

tired of losing in the 1/4? get another car.

high odds are that anything you might gain this way will be lost by altering of shift points.

and the turbo comment... even FI, this is not a car easily setup for the drag strip. to do so requires much more than just extra power, you need to look at the suspension and tranny also

the cheapeast way to do this is to get 2 16" rims for the rear tires. 16" is the smallest rim the rear can fit. put a 225/30/16 drag slick on it. this changes the effective gearing and will give you the same benefits.

this kills 2 birds with 1 stone.

1. better gearing for the track. its also reversible so you wont kill your already bad highway mileage.

2. drag slicks will greatly help with launches and should knock at least .2 seconds off your ET. and since you dont have that much hp, and slicks are REALLY sticky, you dont need much more than a 225 or a 245. remember that a 245/30 has a taller sidewall than a 225/30 so your gearing will be less. with a 225/30 you'll have your best gains.
