More INFO on the newly released BLITZ SC. They state 202.2 whp/8200. Hell I dynoed 176 box stock! Can it really add only 26 HP?

The long awaited Compressor system for the Mazda RX8. This Blitz Supercharger will increase its output by approx. 50bhp. This will push the more powerful model towards 300bhp.

 

What's a base in Switzerland? An automatic? Base in the US is 238HP. Unless they mean a base auto?

And as far as pushing 300HP, that must be at the flywheel as 238 + 62 is maybe 300HP, but 175 + 50 is not 300, but 250Hp perhaps

In non-US countries they sell the 4 port version as the Standard (base) and the 6 port version as the Sport. Yes you can buy a 4 port 6MT car elsewhere.

So I think they are claiming 202whp on the 4 port version.

 

Why are all the Superchargers developed for A/T models? Is there something wrong with the 6-port Renesis?

 

On the site with the British pound price, it stated a 50 bhp increase. For 4300 pounds...bit pricey. However, I would want to see the dyno...if thats all under the curve and not just top end, the drivability might be great. But that price....yikes.

no there are no standard power(4port) cars withthe 6mt anywhere. the 6mt is only available onthe high power(6 port) cars. The standard power cars are avaiable with a 5mt in europe. 50 whp (depending on the avg power) would be nice on the standard power car- however i still think it is over priced.

Is under the heading Base RX-8. Base here could mean stock. There is a heading for Blitz RX-8. But there are not any figures in there yet.

 

Actually its a 4-port 5MT not 6MT. In terms of boosting its not to hard to retrofit between the two--remember there is a Greddy turbo A/T car roaming around.

 

My error - I was just trying to state the you could get the 4port with a manual - clumsy me :D

Blitz stuff is not cheap. They have an SC unit for Scions & Celicas that goes for about $6000.
