REVi vs. Ram Intake benefits..

I want to get one, but not both...at least not right now. I am leaning more towards the RAM air because it works with the stock box and I understand the benefits of pulling cooler air from the front. What benefit would I get from the REVi now that I can draw cooler air from the RAM air duct with the stock box?

more torque and HP.

The REVi and the cold air duct work most efficiently together.

The Cold Air Duct with the stock box doesnt let the stock box "draw" cold air from the front, it just channels cold air to blow unto the opening in the sheet metal. Which is still a good thing in the long run.

The Racing beat intake is more efficient than the stock intake, It has a larger filter area with a tuned length bell inlet and one of the airflow screens has been removed resulting in a definte increase in airflow. Coupled with the Cold air duct, which attaches securely to the racing beat box, air IS draw directly from the front of the car, and in essence, at speed could allow for a ram air effect.

You are really trying to compare two entirely different things. Just like people who try to compare the benefits of a catback exhaust vs. a high flowcat/racepipe. They are two entirely different parts of the system, upgrading either will show gains, but the biggest gain will be shown by upgrading both.

I have both the Revi and the CAI. If i had to say to go with one or the other I would go with the CAI. The reason behind this is that he CAI had greater effect on the car. But remember I installed the revi then the CAI, so there could be some compounding preformance increases thus distorting the CAI preformance. I suggest getting hard numbers on the revi alone and the CAI alone then compare.

IF sound is the name of the game go with the Revi it sounds so good and it adds alot more then the sucking sound of CAI. Don't get me wrong I love the sound of the CAI, but it is nothing compared to the Revi.
