Revi intake vs CZ ecu
 

I'm really thinking about getting the intake, but it doesnt seem to be putting out nearly enough power. I definitely want a hp increase that i can feel, not one that i can only slightly feel but can hear. Will the CZ give a much greater gain than the intake? My 8 is a lease, so i dont know if i can put the CZ on it without voiding the warranty, can i? What would you go with as a first mod for the car, keep in mind i want as mush power as possible (i think everyone here does :) )

I think the CZ probably has the most potential for significant power gains, provided you tune it properly (or have it tuned) for your car. Of course you could have an exception car...if you're making a bit more power than average because you're running a bit leaner than average, then you'll have less tuning potential.

The thing about the intake is you get what you get...which isn't a huge amount, but IS worth it in my opinion...without any tuning required. And if in the future you do get an ECU, you can tune it to take better advantage of the increased intake (or exhaust, in that case) flow.

I havent put the car on the dyno, so i dont really know if i have more power than the average. The intake is cheaper too.

CZ will give you much better gains providing you spend at least a bit of effort. Even if your car is extremely lean your still going to get the hp advantage from increasing the engine timing, which is probably still more then you would get with a REVi.

Would getting a CZ void my warranty? And would i absolutely need a canscan or the hymee analyzer( forgot what the real name was) with the CZ?
