REVi Intake..
Was wanting to know if anyone had the REVi and if they liked it or regreted buying it, was the install hard? Any comments appreciated.

Revi
Love the Revi....Not bad to install it....My 2 year old son helped....Would not recommend the little one.... took about 1 1/2 hr or so... Only somewhat difficult part is getting the bumper back on yourself...Would for sure use an extra pair of hands for that part...

Got it, love it...definitely worth it to me. Did the install myself, took about 2 1/2 hours but that was most due to me taking my time, stopping to get something to eat, drink, etc.

Have it, love it, install was easy. Jenkins-Crew and I installed in less than 45 minutes, partially b/c I didn't have to remove my front bumper.

i had it and sold it because i didn't like how less smooth it reved compared to the stock unit(might be because stock uses 2 screens and REVi is only 1). i also noticed that the car is though more responsive, it also jerks more easily when you let off of the gas. the sound is the only thing i miss from this unit.

Interesting - that's the first time I heard about someone having such problem with the REVi.

I have it and I love it, also get the ram air intake and the oil and ac screens and do it all at once so you only have to take the bumper off once. You will find a little better response and a better idle and the sound is awesome!

Thanks for the comments, cant wait to get it on.

Regarding the idle, most people that I have read on this board say that the idle improves. Could there be something special about your car, such as other modifications? |
I just installed the Revi intake and air ram. It has a very deep throaty sound when you get your revs about 7,000 plus. I am very impressed how quiet it is until you stomp on the pedal. My car also idle's much smoother than when I was running a K&N stock air replacment filter.

I have a hunch this had something to do with the install. When SR's intake first came out, the only people that complained were the people that installed it poorly. |
Do you have to remove the bumper to install the intake w/o the ram?

You have to remove the bumper to remove the duct work behind the bumper I forget what it is called.
