Revi Intake
I purchased my Mazda in 09 with a Revi intake/MAF already installed to the stock "accordion" style rubber connection to the Throttle Body. I am curious does this piece cause a sort of "turbulence" that can be improved? If so, say if I found something smooth what do I do with the couple of small diameter hoses that are attached to this piece? Or if this makes no difference please let me know this as well. I appreciate any feedback.

...someone has to say it... but $300 for a peice of silicone? You either work for Mazmart or a complete sucker.
The accordian will have a very small effect, if any in regards to flow and there is no way in hell I would suggest spending anywhere near $300 for such an "improvement" as sold my MazMart (shame on that vender for selling this btw). If you are really concerned, buy a $5 peice of PVC piping, cut it to length, and spend another $5-10 on couplings to fit it all together. Enjoy the < 0.5hp improvement at best with alot more noise to add. |
Thank you BlackStealth! I tend to agree to that, I would never pay that kind of money for what they are offering. I was looking at some other intake set-ups and it seems like the 2-3 smaller diameter lines are not connected, I could be wrong. I have no problem keeping it, it just seems "unfinished" with the stock piece in place IMO.

It's Autoexe stuff from Japan....with the Yen like it is and shipping it makes the translation too much to be affordable here
