Nice. I should be getting the Revi/Duct tomorrow can't wait to install it. One of the main reasons I bought it was to improve the gas mileage as others have stated. The increase in power (not much from what I've read) is an added bonus. Hey, look at it this way the system is bringing cooler air to the engine and that should make the engine happy 
As anyone posted 0-60 times with the Revi system? Just curious.

RX8 and a Truk....
Often, tire slippage is more a function of poor traction than too much power.

I had 'federal' tires on my Miata when I first got the car. I could burn out at will...for 20 feet. I switched to Azenis later.
No such luck. I'd probably break the diff before I spun those things.
In my 8, I've gotten a small 'chirp' into Third gear, depending on the surface I was running on.

same tires that were on the car before the install. i never had the dsc kick in on the 3 to 4 before the install.
and as to placebo effect. you should see the temp difference in the intake as the car passes 70mph.
it was an obsevation. unless somehow my shifting got better that is the only thing that has changed.

Swoope, This is a forum of 'missourians' show me the proof type people. Even if you suddenly lifted the entire car off the ground and had pictures, people would question those. Without verified dynos done the same day with and without the REVi or any other mod for that matter, with temperatures controlled and your hair parted the same way, this forum is going to jump on your observations. While I understand that position as a way to sift through a lot of BS that flows into any public forum, I also understand your feeling that the REVi and Ram Air duct has a positive effect on acceleration. Be happy in your feeling. I am.

i avoided the hard proof of the gtimer that i use cause its not a time slip from the pope.
just thought it was interesting. ram effect is good.

I'd love to see GTech data - frankly, when compared under reasonably-controllable variables, on on the same car, the data is 'good'.

My REVi and ram air were just installed this past weekend and I'm loving it so far. The car seems to have even more pep than before. No DSC problems here.

I installed my revi and ram air 2 weeks ago a love it. Then i installed the rp supercat and rx8 store exhaust and can really notice a difference. Even my friend with a 05 mustang gt was impressed when i chirped third.

INDY RX8 CLUB - Officer
100-120 degrees to 65-70 degrees would be more like 4-6hp plus any extra help from positive intake pressure. I am not saying intake temps are 100-120 at cruise, but I do believe they are higher than just 10 degrees above ambient.
