Racing Hood Louvers?
I'm considering installing hood louvers on the car, I dont want fo go for an aftermarket hood because I like my VR hood. The web site www.raceace.com has some aftermarket louvers that i would like to try. I know that the engine compartment on the rotaries gets pretty hot. Anyone running hoods with vents that are aftermarket hoods or just aftermarket vent installs can you let me know how these are working out for you and any problems that you have run into. Also, if any body knows of other companies that have louvers/vents that would look nice?:uhh:

eeewww yuck. these will only look good if you go throught the effort of flush mounting and blending them in .... this should not be a concern for you(high engine bay temps) if your seriously concerned with engine bay temps find an aftermarket hood,,, but(and thats a big but) if this is your thing JC Whitney is chok full of stuff like that... http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/S...101&sku=louver

Yeah i know but i don't care for the ones at JC. The reace ace ones are not great but not too many companies are making nice plush louvers that i have found. I'll have to keep looking. Thanks for the info.

Yeah it looks like ill have to break down and spring for the CF hood. It just seems like a shame to paint the CF but i love the V. red color. Any one have or know any one with a CF painted Hood?

Yea , paint it. If anything tape off the rear bulge and leave it carbon if you just need to show off.

Good idea, it might be some time before i have the money for that but ill post when it happens. thanks for the ideas
