Racing Beat stickers/decals
how come they don't give you any when you purchase something from them?? other companies usually give you one. i'm sad :(
|
Because stickers proclaiming your mods or a "performance" company are lame and make your car look like crap.
|
If you want one just call the, and ask they should mail some no problem.
|
RB stickers would probably cost $50 and claim a .5hp increase

Exactly... So sorry about the somewhat harsh comment at first, glad it's not for your car :D
|
hahaha...don't worry about it man. i rarely take things to heart. but zoomzoomh called me a ricer...bastard!!!

you should see my helmet, now THAT's riced out with stickers  |
they sell them. it ain't free. does greddy give you free decals?
|
when i went to go pickup my parts when i order from them, they always give me decals and a license plate frame for free if i ask
|
I actually proudly display my RB license plate frame. It does not look "ricer" in any way form or fashion They will also send you free stickers (assorted colors) if you ask for them when you purchase . I do not have stickers on my car. I am definitely in the ranks of RB biased because of their quality constructed and designed products.

If you don't like them, then just take it off your car, or return them. Either you have a bias against them, or just a really poor sense of humor.

I can't help i'm a mechanical engineer who built a race car during college and likes to actually evaluate parts for what they are and not who makes them...
If your "stainless steel screen" is showing rust, and you are the "cars are in my blood I'm a mechanical engineer who's built a race car" type you say you are, then it's a piddly thing to drop the undertray, remove the screen, send it back to RB and get them to replace it. They do guarantee their items. I agree with Fanman...your constant snide bashing of RB is very suspect and doesn't really contribute anything of value to the forum. |

I think it's funny :D And I too hate RB, so I don't mind it. They are a company that copy others ideas, especially products from Japan that many US people never see or know about. At least this is what has happened in the past with rx7's, I cannot say anything about the rx8 because I haven't heard about it. Though their ram air duct looks an awful lot like some others I've seen from Japanese companies. Of course, in a market such as this everyone copies everyone else anyways, so it's normal and expected. I've had a chance to actually talk to a guy that worked with RB on some R&D engine stuff back in the 70's when he raced rx2's and rx3's. Apparently RB was stealing his ideas and not giving him credit or even notice of this, so he quit working with them, and later quit racing rotaries all together once Mazda entered the scene (couldn't compete with that kind of budget). RB makes alright products, but really nothing better than lots of other companies in my opinion. Their porting is also very sub par, I would never use their porting template again for my 2nd gen or even think of getting porting work done by them. It's too mild and not researched enough, food for thought for once they start porting the renesis. I guess this really has nothing to do with the thread, but I thought I'd put in my .02 in that I agree, somewhat, with him. I don't think bashing them in every thread is constructive, but I might be able to see where he is coming from, maybe better since I've had this background info about how RB started. Racing Beat is merely for the mild modifier. Their exhaust has a cute little tone to it and makes a couple HP, but the fact its heavy outweighs that a bit. Their intake looks stock, isn't too loud, and gives a couple HP. Bottom line, is their products are mostly for the light modifier that wants to stay mild and have things looking fairly stock. |

I only wish RB was half the company Cobb is for Subaru. Oh, to go back to the original question - last time I purchased a simple K&N filter from Mazdatrix they gave me 2 stickers and 2 licence plate frames. |
