Oh you will... trust me! You'll also shift up one extra gear on back roads to lower the sound and avoid "unwanted" attention. The gas smell might hit you (and people following you) while at red lights. But hey, you'll shoot out nice flames (which you need to watch out while doing that too).
I don't have the Racing Beat package, but I did have an aftermarket catback + midpipe. Just get used to the CEL on all the time!

i just had the racing beat catless midpipe (non-resonated) added to my racing beat exhaust. its much louder now, REALLY gets loud when you get on the gas, but its definately daily drivable. no droning when i cruise, no raspyness either. it actually goes silent if you press the gas right around 3-5k rpms.

in the end, i really like it. its not as insanely loud as i thought it would be, despite the midpipe not having a resonater! id say its just about perfect.

Wow... thats a surprise to hear!
My midpipe has a resonator and it was still really loud. My midpipe and catback are both 3" diameter all the way through (with 4" tip). What is the diameter of the RP pipe and does it constrict down at any point?

i dont have the RP pipe, i have the RB pipe (racing beat). its 3 inches and it constricts to 2.5 inches i beleive to fit the rev8 exhaust.

i think its not as loud because the racing beat exhaust is already one of the quietest exhausts out there. im glad i have no raspyness or droning though!

LOL... don't ask where I got RP from.

Good to hear that its working out for you. I wonder if going FI with a constricted pipe (going down to 2.5) will play a factor in performance gain (and I mean a real noticeable gain).

REV8 Exhaust System

The Racing Beat REV8 “street legal”, cat-back exhaust system is the perfect replacement for your stock RX-8 exhaust - a durable assembly offering a real horsepower gain over your stock unit. Our system consists of a 304 stainless steel Racing Beat connecting-pipe, muffler canisters, tubing, flanges, and outlet tips. The replacement connecting-pipe is manufactured using 3-inch (OD) tubing and features cast stainless steel flanges for positive exhaust gas sealing. The stainless steel muffler canisters are each finished with 4-inch, polished 304 stainless tips for an aggressive look.

I have the combo and love it. I'll pm you a link to a vid so you can hear it

My RB Rev8 with a straight pipe was way too loud for me!
And was also a big rolling stink
I'm going to try again with a high flow Davesport cat welded in

So you think that if you weld in that DaveSport Cat in it will help with the smell? And you think that you will still get the performance gains that you would with a full cat delete?
The reason im asking is beacuse im trying to do everything possible with the performance, without going FI. I dont want to go FI because i still need this as my everyday driver, and my toy. So FI is just to hard on the engine for an everyday driver.
Any tips on what i should do other then Exhaust, Air Intake, Headers, Pulleys, throttle body spacers, and some handling upgrades?

The cat delete doesn't do much if you don't get more air into the engine. All the bolt-ons short of FI are incremental gains. The Davesport cat is lower restriction but still retains the CAT function...

Cobb access port from Mazdamaniac is a great upgrade.

Maybe Noz will help you? Talk to BHR

There are many many threads about suspension upgrades you can search for.

Ignition/full exhaust line ( racing beat if you like it )/good tune/4.777, you should be happy then, and after clutch/flywheel/short shifter/rims/pulley and you'll be a lil' bit more happy.

Consider the air intake as a better way to bring more cool air than winning HP or maybe with some custom special air duct i've seen recently, but shops won't trade that to you, you gotta build your, i'm not speaking about stuff like RB ram air duct.

Ya i was planning on the Accesport from Mazdamaniac. And the BHR ignition system. As far as the air intake are you saying you dont like the RB intake with the air duct? Your saying i should build a custom one? I know bolt on's dont do a lot for the RX8, but every little bit helps right?
And as far as the Flywheel, I hear that isnt too good for an everyday driver either? And that it really doesnt do a whole lot for the amount of money you spend( mostly on instalation)???
